Slutty Brownies
September 5, 2018
I had slutty brownies once a really long time ago, but I never actually tried to make them until now. They are really pretty simple to put together as long as you have all the ingredients – the one thing I didn’t realize before I started is that they would take a really long time to bake. But once they were done and served it was sooo worth it – they are delicious!
Slutty brownies consist of 3 layers:
-
Chocolate chip cookie (1 roll of cookie dough)
-
Oreos (1 pack)
-
Brownie (1 box of brownie mix plus ingredients) – I used fudge brownie mix!
I used a smaller pan to make them this time (size) – I was happy with this size because they came out very thick. I started by greasing the pan with cooking spray. I opened up the roll of cookie dough and spread over the bottom of the pan. At first I used most of the roll and I felt like the layer was a little too thick so I wound up scraping a bit off the top. So at the end I had a little bit of chocolate cookie dough left over – maybe a ½ cup.
Next I layered the cookie dough with oreos. Using a square tray was perfect because the oreos fit exactly – I used only one row of oreos from a regular pack of oreos, so even if you use a bigger pan you will definitely have enough oreos. But, If using a bigger pan you may need more cookie dough (maybe 2 rolls).
I waited until this point to make the brownie batter – I mixed the egg, water, oil and brownie mix together and then poured over the top of the oreos. I tried to pour as evenly as possible – I did a light layer over the entire tray and then went over the whole tray again. It was evenly spread and I gave it a few minutes to seep into the other layers.
I cook everything on 350 on the middle tray. I did not realize how long these would take! They were in for about an hour before I took them out. Half way through baking them I definitely thought the bottom cookie layer was burned – I was convinced they were ruined, but I continued to bake until the middle of the brownie layer was done.
My brother was there when I was making these and couldn’t wait for one so we actually cut them open as soon as they came out of the oven – though I would have preferred to give it at least a few minutes! Even straight out of the over they cut perfectly – and tasted amazing! They were sooo good warm and would have been even better with some vanilla ice cream on the side. I will definitely be making these again soon!
