Creamy Blue Cheese Dressing
One thing I love is a simple wedge salad with creamy blue cheesing dressing – iceberg, bacon, tomatoes and blue cheese! This is always a go to when I go out to eat. This week I had a head of iceberg lettuce and some bacon left over from breakfast, so I decided to make a homemade blue cheese dressing.
I made the dressing quickly and served with a wedge salad before dinner. My boyfriend usually doesn’t eat blue cheese dressing, but he tried it and he ate the whole salad!
I will definitely make this dressing again, especially since most of the ingredients I used were things I always have in the kitchen.
This recipe made enough dressing for about one head of lettuce. If serving more than 2-3 people you may want to double the recipe!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp lemon juice
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- pinch of garlic powder
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl.
- Refrigerate before serving!
