Glamping In Zion

My first ever experience glamping was absolutely incredible!  Glamorous camping lets you feel like your camping while you get to experience the serenity of the great outdoors, but it is far from roughing it!  I spent a night at Under Canvas in Zion – having never been to Utah before (or glamping) I didn’t know what to expect, but I was blown away!

We arrived at the camp, after driving down a long road, and we saw the tents scattered across the side of the mountain.  After checking in at the main tent, which also serves as the camps restaurant, we drove up to the tent where we would stay for the night – it was so quiet and peaceful you could hear a pin drop!

The tent we stayed in was unbelievable! We stayed in a bigger tent (there was 4 of us) so we had a king bed and a pullout couch.  This tent also had a shower and toilet inside (some tents had no bathroom, but the community bathrooms were great as well!) Looking out of the tent we were surrounded by canyons.  We got there around sunset and it was beautiful!!

The restaurant in the main tent served dinner (and beer and wine!)  Outside the main tent there was a big bonfire where lots of guests sat around and talked.  They also had all the makings for s’mores – which was really fun (and delicious!) We stopped in town and grabbed a bottle of wine before going to camp, so we sat around the fire with a drank and eating s’mores and it was perfect!  We went to bed after looking at the stars and had such a great sleep (except for the coyotes that we heard halfway through the night!)

Waking up and seeing the sunrise over the canyons was amazing and then we were off to hike!  Our stay at Under Canvas was an amazing experience, and I would recommend to anyone!
