Crunchwrap Recipe

February 24, 2026

This is a copycat Taco Bell Recipe – that in my opinion is even better than the original.  Fast food is amazing (sometimes!) but making this at home is great because it is hot and keeps its crunch!  This is a simple recipe that only takes a few minutes to put together.  If you’re looking for an easy and delicious weeknight dinner that tastes amazing – definitely try this one out!

I start by making the taco meat.  I just use ground beef and a taco seasoning packet – nothing crazy here!

While the meat is cooking I prep all the other ingredients.  I usually use iceberg lettuce, so I cut that up.  I cut a tomato into small pieces.  I use a bag of shredded cheese, but if you prefer fresh – shred your cheese!

Once the meat is done, I heat up a separate pan on medium heat and spray with cooking spray right before laying down the crunchwrap.

While that is heating up I start to assemble the crunchwrap!  Once everything is assembled you are going to fold in the sizes, so everything will go in the center of the fajita with enough room around the sides to fold over.

I assemble in this order: Fajita, Shredded Cheese, Taco Meat, Tostada, Lettuce, Tomato, Shredded Cheese.

Other options – you can also use queso as your bottom layer of cheese or add sour cream on top of your tostada!

Before folding in the sides, I cut one burrito size fajita into four pieces and add one piece on top of the last layer of shredded cheese. This piece fills in the gap – otherwise when the sides are folded in it wouldn’t fully cover the other ingredients.

Then I start to fold the sides of the fajita to cover the smaller piece of fajita.  Once all sides are folded in, spray the heated pan with cooking spray and put the crunchwrap folded side down on the pan – don’t burn yourself!

Let the first side brown and then flip!  Once brown on both sides, remove from the pan.

I like to cut mine in half – It’s easier to eat that way!
